Your Dream Kitchen Does Not Require Cash Up Front

Financing options that make remodeling possible on your timeline.

Personal Loans and Credit Cards

Personal loans work well for mid-range projects ($5,000 to $25,000). You get a fixed rate and fixed monthly payment. No collateral needed. Approval takes a few days. For smaller projects like cabinet painting ($3,000 to $6,000), a 0% intro APR credit card can work if you pay it off within the promotional period. This is essentially free financing if you are disciplined. Avoid carrying a balance past the intro period because credit card rates are high.

The Phased Approach

You do not have to do everything at once. Many of our clients remodel in phases. Do the kitchen cabinets and backsplash this year ($4,000 to $8,000). Add countertops next year ($2,000 to $4,000). Do the bathroom the following year. This spreads the cost over time without any financing at all. Each phase gives you a visible improvement you can enjoy right away. We plan projects with phasing in mind so each stage looks complete on its own.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to finance a kitchen remodel?

For remodels over $15,000, a HELOC usually offers the best rates. For $5,000 to $15,000, a personal loan gives you fixed payments without risking your home. For under $5,000 (like cabinet painting), a 0% intro APR credit card works if you pay it off in time. The phased approach avoids financing entirely. We are not financial advisors but we can share what our clients typically use.

Do you offer payment plans?

We collect a deposit to start the project and the balance at completion. For larger projects, we can break payments into milestones (deposit, mid-project, and completion). We do not offer in-house financing, but we work with clients who are using HELOCs, personal loans, or other financing. We are flexible about timing payments around your financing schedule.

Can I remodel in phases to spread the cost?

Absolutely. Phased remodeling is one of the smartest approaches. Do the highest-impact upgrades first: cabinet painting and hardware ($3,000 to $6,000), then countertops ($2,000 to $4,000), then backsplash ($800 to $1,500). Each phase looks complete on its own. You enjoy improvements as you go and never take on debt you are not comfortable with. We plan each phase so it looks finished, not half-done.

How much do I need to put down?

Our typical deposit is 30% to 50% of the total project cost. The exact amount depends on the project size and material costs. For a $5,000 cabinet painting job, we usually collect $2,000 to $2,500 up front to cover materials and scheduling. For a $25,000 kitchen remodel, the deposit is typically $7,500 to $10,000. We keep the deposit reasonable and put it toward materials and crew scheduling.
