Why us

Reasons people call us

A kitchen job touches more trades than any other room. Cabinets, plumbing, electrical, tile, paint, countertop fabrication. If one of them slips, the whole timeline slides. We run all of it.

We Understand How You Actually Cook

Before we touch anything, we ask how you use your kitchen. Where the coffee lives, how the dishwasher fights the trash, what the kids reach for. The best kitchens are designed around real life, not Pinterest.

Cabinet Install Done By Cabinet People

We have a dedicated cabinet install lead. Boxes are leveled, drawers run smooth, doors gap evenly. It is the difference between a $20K kitchen looking like $20K and looking like $8K.

HB 803 Cosmetic Path Available

If you keep the existing plumbing and electrical locations, a cabinet paint or replacement plus countertop and backsplash can often stay under $7,500. We will quote both the permit-free and full-renovation paths.

We Sequence Trades, You Live Your Life

Most clients keep using the kitchen 60% of the project duration. We stage the work: cabinets and countertop first while the old sink still functions, then the swap-over happens in 2 days.

Final Detail Pass, Not Just Finish Line

The last day on a kitchen is for adjustments: drawer alignment, cabinet door dampers, silicone touch-ups, paint touch-ups, hood vent test. Most companies skip this. We schedule a half-day for it.

How we work

Our Process

Kitchen remodels run in seven beats. The slowest part is usually waiting for cabinets, so we start material orders early.

Material options

Materials We Work With

The kitchen budget gets eaten by cabinets and countertops. Here is what we install most and how each choice plays in Miami homes.

Cabinets

Stock RTA Cabinets material optionBudget

Stock RTA Cabinets

Ready-to-assemble, plywood box, MDF doors. Ships fast, looks fine, lifespan 8 to 10 years in Miami humidity if the install is good.

Semi-Custom Plywood Box material optionMid

Semi-Custom Plywood Box

Real plywood construction, soft-close on everything, dovetail drawers, choice of door styles and stains. 3 to 5 week lead time. Our sweet spot.

Custom Solid Wood material optionLuxury

Custom Solid Wood

Built to your exact dimensions, any wood species, hand-applied finish. 6 to 8 weeks. The investment is large but these cabinets outlive most kitchens.

Countertops

Laminate material optionBudget

Laminate

Modern HD laminates look much better than the 90s versions. Cheapest option, easy to clean. Cannot handle hot pots and the edges show wear within 5 years.

Quartz material optionMid

Quartz

Engineered stone, non-porous, no sealing needed. Caesarstone, Silestone, MSI. Handles Miami humidity perfectly. Our most-installed counter material.

Granite Slab material optionMid

Granite Slab

Real natural stone. Each slab is unique. Requires sealing every 1 to 2 years. Better with darker colors that mask staining. Still a strong value pick.

Quartzite or Marble material optionLuxury

Quartzite or Marble

Natural, dramatic veining, no two slabs alike. Marble etches with acid (lemon, wine). Quartzite is harder. Both are statement pieces in a serious kitchen.

Butcher Block material optionMid

Butcher Block

Wood. Warm. Limited use as a full counter in Miami humidity, but excellent for an island that takes daily cutting board duty.

Backsplash

Subway Tile 3x6 material optionBudget

Subway Tile 3x6

The classic. Ceramic, white or colored. Looks great in almost any kitchen. Cheap to install, easy to update later.

Herringbone or Geometric Pattern material optionMid

Herringbone or Geometric Pattern

Subway in a herringbone layout, or hex tile, or a mosaic blend. Adds visual interest. More labor (about 30% over standard subway).

Full-Height Slab Match material optionLuxury

Full-Height Slab Match

Same stone as the countertop, run up to the underside of the upper cabinets. Seamless, modern, premium. Requires careful template and seam planning.

Hardware

Solid Brass or Stainless Pulls material optionMid

Solid Brass or Stainless Pulls

The cheap zinc pulls peel in Miami humidity within 2 years. Spend a little more on solid brass, stainless, or quality bronze. Worth every dollar.

What they say

Kitchen Remodeling Clients in Miami

Two other companies kept pushing me to gut the whole kitchen. Broke & Fixed looked at it and said, 'Your cabinets are great, let us paint them and change everything else.' Saved me $15,000 and the result is stunning.

We have three kids and could not move out. They staged the work so we always had a working sink and fridge. The patience required to do that is rare.

Other quotes were $80K. They did the same work for $47K and the cabinets are noticeably better quality. I cannot recommend Othmar's team enough.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you reface existing cabinets?
Absolutely. Cabinet refacing is a great option if your cabinets are structurally solid but just look outdated. We replace the doors and drawer fronts, apply new veneer to the frames, and add updated hardware. It saves you a lot compared to a full cabinet replacement and still transforms the look of your kitchen. We do this all the time in Miami-Dade homes.
How much does a full kitchen remodel cost?
A full kitchen remodel with us typically runs between $12,000 and $50,000. The range is wide because kitchens vary a lot. A smaller kitchen with stock cabinets and laminate counters is very different from a large open-concept kitchen with custom cabinets and quartz. We walk you through all the options and help you stay within your budget.
Do you install countertops?
Yes, we install all types of countertops including quartz, granite, marble, and laminate. We work with local fabricators here in Miami-Dade to get you a good product at a fair price. We handle templating, delivery, and installation. If you want to see material samples before you decide, we can bring those to your home during the estimate.
How long until I can use my kitchen again?
Kitchen remodels usually take three to six weeks depending on the size of the job. We know being without a kitchen is tough, so we try to keep things moving. We recommend setting up a temporary station with a microwave and cooler in another room. We have done enough of these to keep the workflow tight and get you back to cooking as fast as we can.
Do you handle the design or do I need to bring my own plans?
You do not need to bring your own plans. We sit down with you, look at your space, and talk through what you want. We handle layout ideas, material suggestions, and help you pick finishes that make sense together. If you already have a design you love, we are happy to work from that too. Either way, we make it easy.
What about permits for kitchen work?
For most cosmetic work like painting, tile, and fixture swaps, permits aren't needed. For anything structural or involving plumbing and electrical changes, we coordinate with the homeowner to make sure everything is handled properly.
